Is your website design helping or hindering your company’s success? On average, today’s consumers spend less than 15 seconds browsing a website. Even scarier, it only takes them 50 milliseconds (0.05 seconds) to form an opinion of your website that will either leave them captivated or clicking out, often before they’ve even seen what your business has to offer. With that being said, here are a few indicators your website may be due for a little revamping.

Thinking it might be time to give your website an upgrade? Contact Assorted Design, leaders in Tampa website design, today.

Outdated Homepage

Your homepage greatly affects the user’s experience. As the first impression to your company, the landing page determines whether that split-second opinion a user forms is going to be positive or negative, as well as whether you will acquire them as a customer. An ideal homepage should be professional, attractive, and entice your users to want to see more. Take the example below of two competing websites:

These websites are advertising the same product and targeting the same consumers. Yet, one is clearly more enticing. Which site would be getting your business?

Bad Mobile Compatibility

As of April 2021, mobile phones account for more than 56% of web traffic worldwide. That amounts to hundreds of millions of users who want to see your website fit perfectly on their mobile devices. Responsive web design, a feature that allows your website to render well with all screen sizes, is a critical tool for every successful website in today’s smartphone-dominated society. See if your website employs responsive design by clicking here.

Poor on-site SEO

SEO, or search engine optimization, is the process that decides where your website will rank within a search engine’s results page. Countless studies have proven that users are most likely to click on the highest-ranking web pages, making it critical for your site to have a good SEO. Here are a few measures you can take to improve your SEO:

  • Double-check your website for any errors.
  • Make sure you have a healthy link profile. Your SEO wants to see a high diversity of linked sites that promote interconnectivity. It is crucial that you examine your site to purge it of any dead links that may lead to error pages and hinder your viewers’ experience.
  • Be original. Duplicated content will be ranked lower.

Low Interaction

If your website has a high bounce rate, meaning users only view a single page before exiting out, it is likely your site is not doing its job promoting the interaction you want. A successful website fosters an interactive experience for viewers that grasps their attention and invites them to continue browsing.
Social influences are a great way to prompt more user interaction. Consumers rely most heavily on subjective factors such as approval ratings, comments, peer reviews, etc. If your website is striving to sell a product or service, do you have customer reviews for your users to read? If you are a clothing or fashion brand, are there images with links to Instagram posts of real people wearing your merchandise? Including outside factors such as these improve the credibility and attractiveness of your website while also increasing the amount of time each user spends on your page.
While redesigning your website may seem like a daunting task, Assorted Design is here to help. Contact us here to talk with an expert in Tampa Website Design today.

The Facebook Ads Manager is a fantastic platform for advertisement, but quite a few small brands and businesses find it to be intimidating. We do not blame them. The first time we looked at Ads Manager, we collectively wondered what we had gotten ourselves into!

Initially, the deeper dive we completed, the more overwhelming the platform felt. However, we were able to get the hang of it. Now we have several hundred Facebook ad campaigns under our belt, and we are here to help you understand Facebook ads.

Facebook Ads Guide:

Campaign Creation

Make sure you chose the right objective for your Facebook ad. The objective for the campaign will depend on the specific offer. Are you building a list of educational leads? Do you want to promote app installs? Do you need to send traffic to a web landing page? Make sure
Have you chosen the right campaign objective for your ad? Your campaign objective depends on your offer. Are you collecting educational leads? Pushing for app installs? Sending traffic to a landing page? You will always want to make sure you choose the best possible objective that fits the goal associate with your offer.

Facebook Audience Selection

You will want to make sure that you select an audience and interests that match your particular offer. Facebook grants you some never before heard of powers when it comes to hyper-focusing your ad.

Make sure you have utilized behavioral targeting to narrow the scope of your audience. This type of audience targeting allows you to get extremely focused with your Facebook and Instagram ad audience.

Have you had your website person add the Facebook Pixel to your business website to track the social media ad results? The Facebook Pixel lets you track conversion ad goals as well as retarget Individuals who have been to your website to show them additional ads on your offer.

Image Selection

Take a moment to determine if you would consider the image to be eye-catching and whether it would cause people to stop in the middle of a smartphone scroll. The truth is that it is hard to stand out on Facebook and Instagram. Keep in mind that, 90%+ of people are scrolling on their smartphone. If you want to garner attention, your image should really make an impression. A person will not have a positive interaction with your ad if they do not stop scrolling to read it. You need something that will pull them out of the social media funk.

Does this image also match the audience? If the Facebook audience is females in 45+, you will not want to use a picture of young and irresponsible people at a non-socially distanced party. You get the point. Use images that will resonate with your core audience.

Does text take in 21%+ of the ad image? The addition of written content to an ad image is a great way of capture attention, but there is always a catch: The text must never cover more than 20% of the ad image. If it does, Facebook will either not approve it or dramatically reduce its reach, meaning the ad will cost more to run.

Is the image the right size? There isn’t a hard and fast rule, but there is recommended sizes for Facebook ad images. Using other dimensions can cause your image to look weird and stretched.

Ad Copy

Take a look at the written ad copy and see if it focuses on the benefits rather than the product features. People who are new to social media ads often talk too much about product features. You know, things like the material, the available colors and the amount of space it will take up in the home. This information does not really matter in a Facebook ad. People want to understand how a product or an offer will change their life in a profound way. In other words, they want to know how it will solve a problem in their life.

Testing

This is something most marketers do not want to think about, but it pays to create multiple versions of a Facebook or Instagram ad. Each copy should include different images and copy variations. The test ads need to be run side by side for a specific period to give you insight on the best converting ad copy. Once there is an ad that is a proven winner, you will want to test it again by optimizing specific aspects.

Use this handy Facebook and Instagram checklist to learn more about social media advertising. Yes, it takes a lot of work and we are here to help you.

So you have made the decision to create a Facebook page for your business, or perhaps you want to leverage your existing Facebook page. Well, since we know that Facebook is home to close to 1.5 billion active users each month, we think that you are making a brilliant move.

But if you believe you can just slam one together and expect leads and clients to roll-In, you have another thing coming. The chances of generating new customers from Facebook are slim if you are not building a Facebook page with the potential to garner attention, get liked and get engaged with. Take a look at at the tips below to make sure that you are establishing the kind of page that will succeed.

What is a Facebook Page?

A page is like a specialized profile designed for businesses. Personal profiles have friends, and pages have “Likes.”

The person or people who run the Facebook page are called administrators. Each person needs their own personal Facebook account if they want to run a page.

Don’t create a personal profile for your business.

We have come across business owners who create personal profiles for businesses, do not do this.

Do post photos and videos to your Timeline.

All visual content has become a requirement of social media channels.

Do determine the timing & frequency for your posts.

If you do not post frequently enough, you will not look as reliable or authentic. We recommend starting with 3 posts per week.

Do pin important posts to the top of your page.

Sometimes, you might want a post to stay at the top of your page. Facebook offers the ability to “pin” one post. To pin a post, click on the drop-down arrow in the top-right corner of a post on your page, & click ‘Pin to Top.’

Do decide whether you want Facebook fans to message you privately.

If you want your fans to be able to privately message, have someone like us enable messages.

Do Monitor and respond to comments on your page.

You can monitor & respond to comments via the ‘Notifications’ tab at the very top of your page. We can help if a situation looks like it could get out of control.

Do promote your page to generate more followers.

You can create an ad promoting your Page. To do that, click the three dots at the top menu bar above your posts & select “Create Ad.”

Do measure the success of your Facebook efforts.

You can dig into your Page’s Insights, which allow you to track Facebook-specific engagement metrics.

After recent lawsuits against Domino’s Pizza, Winn-Dixie, and Beyoncé have shown America that the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) applies to websites and other digital platforms. It used to only apply to physical locations, but with the rise of the digital age our policies must evolve and grow with technology. This means businesses need to work to make sure their presence on the internet is as considerate to those with disabilities as they are in a building or office. Accommodations for the blind or hard of hearing are necessary, but how exactly can you make these accommodations on a digital platform?

Definitive regulations for website accessibility are still in development, but there are still a few agreed-upon measures that your business can take to fit the needs of the ADA.

Now before we jump head first into tools and regulations, it’s important to first understand what websites require these accommodations. There’s two sections of the ADA where you can find the answer to this question, title I and title III. Title I describes businesses that operate for 20 weeks or more out of the year, and that have 15 or more full-time employees on their staff. Title III describes businesses that provide “public services” like hotels, banks, and public transportation.

The next step is finding a source where regulations are listed. Unfortunately there aren’t any guidelines due to the ADA website compliance being a new development. This can make the process of evolving your website very frustrating. Not to worry, there are still some actions you can take to make your website more accessible. Not only does it expand the opportunity for more customers, but it also shows the effort your business is making to follow the ADA guidelines.

So what are some measures you can take to make your website ADA friendly? First off you can organize your website to be consistent. Make all buttons, widgets, menus, and links easy to find and access in order to ensure that your website isn’t hard to navigate. Making your fonts bold and clear to read will also help potential customers navigate your website. You will also want to pay close attention to the header code. Numerous text readers use the headers to determine what language the website is written in. By using numerous header “tiers” assists the reader through the page’s content. You can also provide transcripts for audio and video content so a user who is hard of hearing can read what is being said in the audio of the video clip.

Making sure all your documents are text reader accessible can also be a measure you can take to ensure that your documents are easy to read.

A final advantage you can give is by making sure your website offers alternate options if there is an input error. Many users with disabilities can encounter a lot of issues navigating. So by giving them alternative “routes” for them to navigate can make sure they get the information they need.

So what will happen if your business doesn’t follow these steps? Well without an ADA compliant website, this leaves your business exposed for lawsuits. You can’t just hope to fly under the radar and escape lawsuits. Attorneys are constantly on the hunt for non-compliant businesses both physically and digitally. Not only will you spend thousands of dollars in an effort to bring your website to their standards, but you’ll also have to pay the attorney fees.

In addition to making your business vulnerable to lawsuits, you also create a barrier between your business and potential clients. Having an ADA compliant website boosts your clientele and well as bumps you above potential competitor’s websites.

ADA Website Compliance and My Business

As companies worldwide work quickly to bring their websites into compliance with the WCAG, the focus has shifted to existing accessibility regulations. The ADA in the United States is one such example of a visible and complicated piece of legislation. The best way to explain is to shed some light on the ins and outs of what it takes to operate an ADA compliant website in 2020. Or, if you prefer to take a deep dive into the gritty details of any accessibility issues on your site, you can request a free ADA website audit report from Assorted Design.

Website compliance with the ADA

The ADA does not expressly state that a website must maintain ADA compliance, event after amendments were made to it in 2008. Though, Title III of the ADA requires that a place of public accommodation allow easy access to people who meet the standards of the ADA for disability. With individuals increasingly making online purchases, one might make the assumption that this idea then must be extended to a website. However, from a purely legal perspective, there is an ocean of grey area. This means the courts are typically responsible for determining how the standards set forth in the ADA apply to a website, or if they apply at all.

There has been court rulings around the United States that commercial websites are indeed places of public accommodation and, due to this fact, they are subject to ADA guidelines. In other cases, the courts have concluded that a website is bound by regulations if a close physical proximity exists between the site and a brick and mortar location. With no clear federal rules, it has been difficult to make a clear line in the sand about whether a website is governed by the accessibility rules in the ADA.

While the impact of ADA regulations online is likely to remain unclear for the immediate future, there is no question that more cases regarding equal digital access will continue to be filed. In lieu of waiting for clear national guidelines, choosing to act proactively is the recommended approach for most organizations. Taking action early is the best way to try to avoid an accessibility lawsuit and any potentially negative publicity. Contact Assorted Design today to learn more about your current level of ADA compliance, and be sure to ask how we can help you achieve compliance.

Four Digital Marketing Ideas For Rent To Own Companies

The use of digital marketing for your rent to own store is vital. However, many rent to own retailers discover that they are intimidated by digital marketing ideas because there are so many different ways to approach the process and a number of parts that are always in motion. Marketing on the web does not need to be an impediment in the road, no matter how big or small you consider your rent to own operation. Here are several effective ways to boost your online marketing.

REFRESH WEBSITE CONTENT

The majority of people who make a purchase in-store will first research a retail store online. This means that it is vital that your site looks good, is optimized and is user-friendly to people on mobile devices as well as laptop users. If you have a website that is a little on the old side or one that lacks easy functionality, you will want to consider a facelift. The website update can and should include:

  • New colors
  • Intuitive design
  • Updated and optimized product photos.

The key goal in any rent to own website redesign needs to include ripping the core apart to determine which factors will improve the user experience.

TALK TO AN EXPERT TO BUILD A COMPREHENSIVE DIGITAL MARKETING PLAN

The right marketing strategy for a rent to own retailer needs to cover each base. The plan can leave no path unconsidered. To build a digital marketing plan that is comprehensive, you must talk to professionals who can step back and look at your organization with an objective eye.

ENGAGE WITH YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMER WHERE HE OR SHE LIVES ONLINE

One important factor in rent to own marketing is determining where you can find potential customers and engaging these people on this digital platform. You need to talk to them instead of getting them to search for you, because, on their own, they will not.

TRAIN YOUR TEAM

When your rent to own digital marketing efforts start to work, it is incredibly important that your in-store team understands how to get an agreement in place. The digital leads we help generate only matter to you if they are converted to sales. This means you will need to provide your sales specialists with appropriate training to help new customers through the buying journey. Please do keep in mind that this might require written materials, practice conducting demonstrations and side-by-side digital comparisons. Talk to all team members to determine what they need in-store to make the sale.

WHAT WILL GOOD DIGITAL MARKETING DO FOR MY RENT TO OWN BUSINESS?

Creating a web-based brand image, getting your core values out on the web and training in-store staff is the start and will improve the number of leads and lead quality. However, marketing is a process that never ends and it needs to be refined frequently. The only problem is that you need to keep on the forefront of ideas that will improve the digital presence and lead quality for your rent to own agency. We can help you chart your digital future!

hcG and Weight Loss

At Options Medical Weight Loss, we are committed to be on the cutting edge of medical weight loss solutions. There has been a lot of buzz about the hcG Diet- a craze that won’t quit dominating national talk shows and magazines. The diet is named after a “natural” hormone the body makes during pregnancy. But how does this hormone relate to significant weight loss?

Here is why the hcG (human chorionic gonadotropin) might be the weight loss plan for you:

Is hcG a weight loss super hormone? Usually, it is found in urine of pregnant women during the first trimester of pregnancy when it helps secrete progesterone. To be more specific, the hormone is made by cells formed in the placenta which supposedly suppress appetite. People that have seen tremendous weight loss results with the hcG diet marvel at the “fat blasting properties” of the hormone.

Furthermore, there have been some claims that hcG injections can “reset your metabolism” when combined with a ultra-low (500 less calorie) diet. Some people have reported losing as much as a pound a day without cravings or physical exhaustion.
The hcG diet has caloric limitations for 8 weeks while taking the hormone which can be delivered via sprays, oral drops, or shots provider by a healthcare professional.

While getting a daily dose of hcG, the diet is broken up into two meals, lunch and dinner. Each meal has to include one protein, one vegetable, one bread, and one fruit. There are various methods of preparation available for dieters that help the calorie limit under 500, mainly concentrating on having 3.5 oz of lean protein at a meal.
The hcG diet discourages the consumption of sugar and carbohydrate-rich food as part of the meal plan. However, black coffee, tea and sugar-free drinks are allowed as part of promoting a feeling of satiety.

Since, the hcG diet has had such effective results, it has been recommended for obese individuals as well as those with the medical necessity to lose weight. As with any medical weight loss plan, it is important to have the right medical supervision for any significant change to your meal and fitness routine.

At Options Medical weight loss, we are experts in the hcG diet, from administering the shots to the details of the meal plan, we have got you covered when it comes to losing weight safely and effectively with the hcG diet.

In the quest for the best website, there may only be one CMS (content management system) that reigns supreme. Is it WordPress or Joomla? Though of different origins, WordPress originally being a blog-focused platform compared to Joomla’s focus on serving portal-like websites; these CMS giants can enable your website to reach its best functionality with content.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of WordPress v. Joomla, and our recommendation:

  1. Technical difficulty- CMS are not stand-alone pieces of software, they work when installed on a web server. For developers who are not afraid of hands-on work with servers, Joomla will offer the best option. On the other hand, for ease of use and a tech level that is beginner friendly, WordPress is super easy to get started with.
  2. Search engine optimization- SEO is important in the success of content on the website. When it comes to search functionality, Joomla takes a bit of an advantage with meta descriptions and keywords for articles that are easy to search. However, for SEO WordPress wins in the category of plug-ins with Yoast. A popular plug in that is effective and easy to use for SEO capabilities.
  3. Customization capabilities- It is true that when it comes to sheer number of plugins, WordPress wins. However, when it comes to the matter of themes and templates, WordPress leads the competition with high-quality templates that offer excellent service.

As far as content management is concerned, Joomla offers a lot of capability in terms of documentation. Where Joomla shines in complexity, WordPress wins with its overwhelming popularity which grew a massive support group for any WordPress related features. Whether a question about customizing a theme, from the simple blog to multiple landing pages, the WordPress community is one of the best features of the CMS.

As experts in web design, Assort Design is committed to the latest practice in web design and content management. Our recommendation is to leave Joomla to the developer’s and techies at heart who want to tinker with the technical aspects and dive in the complexity of the platform. For the average website that wants robust features, customization, SEO, and stellar content management; WordPress is a great choice for a CMS. A platform that has ease of use, a large resource of support, and products that keep improving with user experience. Regardless of your choice, it is important for your website to have the best in CMS, contact us today for a consultation.

Your website is the business card for your business. While it may have been state-of-the-art when it was built, website technology is constantly evolving and improving to meet more sophisticated consumer demands. Whether a lack of mobile functionality or outdated design, is it time to ask your business, the ultimate marketing question, “Is my website out-of-date?”.

Here are 5 signs that its time to embrace the rapid pace of website evolution and give your website a makeover for 2019:

  1. Your Website lacks Mobile Functionality- According to Small Business Marketing Digital Statistics, 94% of small businesses will have a mobile optimized website by 2019. If your website lacks mobile functionality, you are losing an enormous number of users who have migrated from computer screens to smartphones. While, your website might show up on a smartphone in the original format, it is the mobile presentation that matters. Is it actually usable on mobile? Do the forms work? Is the text readable on smaller screen? If you can’t answer or do not know the answer to any of these questions, it’s time to call an experienced website design company and step into the future of consumer behavior.
  2. Your Website has Poor User Experience- User experience is a crucial part of a website that delivers results. If your outdated website is too confusing to navigate or has features that don’t work, it can frustrate the user and “bounce” them from the website. In order, to avoid losing profitable website traffic, make sure your website is easy to navigate and that users can take action in a matter of minutes.
  3. Your Website is Slow- In the ether of the internet, time is money. While, your website might have loaded quickly when it was first built, outdated features and complicated, old design may significantly slow it down. According to a marketing survey, 53% of online users will leave a website that takes longer than 2 seconds to load. 2 seconds, that’s all you have to make a first impression with your website.
  4. Your Website has lost its Appeal- Internet consumers like websites that are attractive and visually appealing. Website design trends evolve every 2-3 years with new design layouts and modern themes that are meant to entice the user. Chances are if your website is a few years old, it is due for a makeover that would have a substantial return on investment.
